With such deprivation and poverty, it’s vital we identify and assist orphans, vulnerable children and their families affected by HIV. Working with commune chiefs and the commune council for women and children (CCWC), we work to increase awareness in the communities, organise forums to discuss issues associated with HIV and encourage education.
Capacity building is an essential mechanism in the communities; building knowledge and skills, identifying funding opportunities and help managing resources to address community needs. With cooperation from key stakeholders, we work to
build capacity in the local authorities, improving planning, organisation and management of their neighbourhoods.
Our forums provide community education, increasing awareness and knowledge of the rights of a child and child protection. Health programs support vulnerable children and families receive proper health services and support, while our focus on education ensures vulnerable children receive quality education and life skills.
